The Columbia is Freightliner’s newest addition. The Columbia option package features the same combination of substance, durability and efficiency that has made Freightliner a success. The new Columbia is a complete package loaded with distinctive exterior treatments, luxury interior additions and ride and performance enhancements demanded by today’s modern driver. On the road of the 21st Century, the new Columbia defines the commanding style and traditional lines that are the hallmark of the North American trucker.
Dual curved chrome stacks, bright chrome sun visor and aerodynamic chrome mirrors, along with a painted matching bumper, styled headlamps with chrome bezels and LED marker lights that run the length of the cab and sleeper signal the open road authority of the Columbia.
Inside the handsomely appointed cab, its easy to see the benefits of this new Columbia. The upgraded interior package is designed for maximum comfort with premium, padded coverings on seats, sleeper wall panels and door panels. With our custom interior trim colors to along with a wide array of sleeper cabinet and shelving the Columbia is the perfect over the road home and office. Designed to deliver one of the smoothest and quietest rides on the road, the Columbia features noise abatement and advanced ride engineering which set it apart from all the rest. Exterior noise is dampened by adding insulation to the cab floor, bunk floor, sleeper walls, firewall and storage bins. A double barrier forward deck, shift knob skirt plug, full hoodliner, dog house liner, as well as foam tape in the A pillar and baffles in the B pillar also helps reduce highway noise that can divert the driver’s attention. Equipped with Freightliner’s ride enhancement package, which includes a unique leaf and a half front suspension, rubber isolators in between springs, high dampened front cab mounts, low rate rear cab mounts and optimized shock absorber valving, the Columbia easily irons out the shake and rattle of any highway condition. We are proud to provide our drivers with one of the newest fleets in the trucking industry. The average age of our conventionals is only 18 months. These new trucks are typically awarded by seniority with new hires being given our 2005 - 2006 model Freightliners.
